For once in my life I would love it if my friends would do something for my birthday where I do not have to plan it. Do I think that it is going to happen? Probably not.
I got lucky this year. Dana and I had been away and when we got back we had a surprise early joint present (as mine is the 3rd and his is the 5th). My friends Sheryl and Eric had left us a lovely bench on our front porch and a purple plant in a purple pot. It was a nice surprise.
